Why do you think Edinburgh Sparkles?
When the dark winter nights fall in, all the lights throughout Edinburgh at Christmas just enhances the beauty of the City. From all the lights on the trees and the festive street lighting, St.Andrew Square Garden, the Big Wheel, and the Castle, it is just a great place to be.
Describe Christmas time in Edinburgh
Just taking a day out and coming to visit the City Centre is a great way to get yourself in the mood for Christmas. There are so many 'must see and do's' such as the Dome Christmas decorations, the Christmas Light Switch On, Princes Street Gardens and of course the Edinburgh Farmers Market!
Describe Christmas time at Edinburgh Farmers' Market
With the impressive backdrop of the Castle and all the stalls lit up, it has a real Christmassy feel. It is a fantastic place to be for your Christmas food shopping or to warm yourself up with some of the hot ready to eat fresh local produce.
How will you be enjoying yourself over the festive period in Edinburgh?
I will be entertaining family visiting from America this year. They are looking forward to taking in the Edinburgh Street Party for the first time, but what I haven't told them yet is that we are all signed up for the Loony Dook the next again day!
Key dates shoppers should look out for?
The Edinburgh Farmers' Market will have the luxury of Christmas Eve falling on a Saturday this year, so customers can have the freshest Christmas dinner from their local market, and for people like me who leave their shopping until the last possible day, it is great having Christmas Eve on a Saturday!
